
SOLDIER RUSH VIRTUAL RACE 2020
November 7th, 2020
The Soldier Rush 2020 virtual race is a 5K race which includes 20 exercise challenges with 20 repetitions of each exercise. The race will stream live from the Parkland Fire Station at 7:30am with pre-race announcements from local leaders and beneficiary charities, check presentations and singing of the National Anthem. Race warm-up begins at 8:15am EST,

Exercise Challenges
During the race each participant carries a sand bag. Every 150 meters participant will stop to complete one of the following exercise challenges. (Watch video below for a demonstration of each exercise)
20 Front Lunges (10 each leg)
20 Push Ups
20 Burpees
20 Side Lunges (10 each side)
20 Shoulder Taps (10 each side)
20 Side Skaters (10 each side)
20 Mountain Climbers (10 each side)
20 Back Lunges (10 each leg)
20 Air Squats
20 Knee Tap Mountain Climbers (10 each leg)
20 Jumping Jacks
20 Squat Jumps
20 Squat Twists
20 Bridge Kicks (10 each leg)
20 Crab Crawls (10 each side)
20 Bear Crawls (10 each leg)
20 Kick Toe Touches (10 each side)
20 Back Lunge Kicks (10 each side)
20 Standing Oblique Crunches (10 each side)
The Experience
Each racer will receive a Soldier Rush Race Bib, Finisher Medal and T-Shirt. Race packets will be available during scheduled packet pick up times. Please sign up by October 18th, 2020 to guarantee receipt of your race package before race day.
In the spirit of the event, participants are encouraged to wear their American themed outfits
during the race.

Fitness on a Mission is a 501(c)3 organization formed to raise funds by promoting educational and fitness events including the Soldier Rush Race. Funds raised from these events go towards supporting recognized and qualified charities that support Veterans, First Responders, their families and others in need. All contributions to Fitness on a Mission are tax deductible

The first Soldier Rush Race took place on May 23, 2015.
Soldier Rush 2018 was dedicated to the 17 victims of the Marjory Stoneman
Douglas tragedy. 17 walls were erected, one wall for each victim.

#1: You will be able to have a fun day out in the community. Bring your friends and family to support a great cause, but also gain a sense of pride and accomplishment doing something for your physical well being.
#2: We will be with you the entire way! Our team will be alongside you to coach you through the race and help you get through the finish line. There is NO pressure to complete all the 50+ awesome obstacles, we just want you to feel the rush of participating in a fun-filled event.
#3: You will make new friends! This event will involve people that are like minded who look to make positive changes in other's lives. Meet people who want to help support your health and fitness goals.
